[HEY] [I’M ROB] [THAT’S ME] 🔺

My perfect day is any day I can help an artist turn an idea

Into a song that they and their fans love, because

I’ve got a huge crush 5

on making spicy music 7

and sometimes haikus 5

My favorite toy as a kid that didn’t involve Power Rangers was a Sony Micro-Cassette Recorder. Dead serious. I went around the house talking into it, humming into it, interviewing my brother for my “radio show” (he loved it), pretty much all the normal American kid stuff lol. In 8th grade, though, I developed a serious problem- I started playing back cassettes into more and more cassettes to layer it all together into songs. Beatboxing, the five guitar chords I knew, mad rapping skills… Hoooo boy please let those tapes be buried in a landfill. During high school and college that loving madness for music snowballed into recording every musician I knew who had something to say. The more I learned about the tools used to create music, the more I started helping them with how they said it. Fast forward to the present and that’s still basically what I’m doing every day. I’ve just gotten better!

Songwriting: What you say

Production: How we say it

I want you to be thrilled about both

You may have noticed I produce music for artists, but I’ve also written songs for artists who produce themselves. Point is- my priority is to help your project and your song, in whatever area you need. Period. In bold and underlined. Before music I spent years working on film crews for everything from indie movies to blockbuster films. We were behind the scenes but we didn’t care- The Big Mission™ was creating a space and a setting for the audience to connect to the message. It got me used to being creative on a timetable and really clarified the whole “making art for people to experience” thing. Working side by side with some of the best directors and producers from Disney, Fox, Blumhouse, and Summit Entertainment illustrated to me that the best creators never forget what’s important: The story, the performer, and the production shine the brightest when they support each other. Production magic can build entire worlds, but whether it’s La La Land or Honey Boy it’s the story and the performance that draw us in and keep us in the theater. Not that different than music, right? That’s the perspective I bring to working on your songs and turning them into full productions you love.

“First and foremost, Rob is a genuinely great person and is truly on your side. I’m amazed at the variety of skills Rob brings to the table...writing, mixing, production, you name it! I’m confident that Rob can bring significant value to any project he is a part of.”
— Jordan Matthew - Independent artist
“Working with Rob is great because he works with you really closely and has the same mentality that you do: to try and make the greatest song possible. He’s always friendly and ready to work.”
— Lastep - electronic artist (Sony Sweden)
